slopTV is a channel you can watch without an account. You only share anything with us when you chat, like a clip, claim a name or pay for a clip. This page says what that is, where it goes, and how long we keep it.
Who is responsible
slopTV, operated by Abramelin, is responsible for the data described here. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page. The full identity of the operator is in the legal notice.
What we store
- Your wallet address, when you connect a wallet to pay, like a clip, claim a name or chat under a verified name.
- Chat messages. They are public, shown to everyone watching. The room keeps its last 300 messages; older ones are gone.
- The name you claim, tied to the wallet that signed for it.
- The prompts you submit. A prompt becomes a clip, and the clip airs with its prompt and your name or wallet next to it. That is the point of the channel, so treat a prompt as public.
- Your likes, so a clip is counted once per wallet.
- Your IP address, briefly. We use it in memory to stop spam and to count how many people are watching, and we do not write it to a file of our own. Our hosting and network providers keep short technical logs of their own.
What is public forever
Payments, withdrawals, likes that go through the blockchain and the $SLOP you hold are recorded on Base, a public blockchain. Anyone can read them, and no one, including us, can change or delete them. Please keep that in mind before you pay or react.
Cookies and your browser
We set one cookie for viewers, and only if you claim a name: it keeps you signed in to the chat under that name. The station operator has a second one for the control room. Both are needed for the site to do what you asked, so we do not ask for consent and there is no cookie banner.
Your browser also keeps, on your device only, your light or dark setting, clip drafts you have not sent, and a random number for the open tab that lets us count viewers without knowing who they are. We never see the first two.
Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and builds no profile of you.
Who else handles it
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany, hosts the server the station runs on.
- Cloudflare, Inc. carries the site and the video to you, forwards email sent to our address, and stores our backups. Some of this happens in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
- Venice.ai receives the text of a prompt to make the clip. It does not receive your wallet or any other detail about you.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we are allowed to
Making, airing and refunding a clip you paid for is the service you asked for. Stopping spam, keeping the station secure and counting viewers are in the legitimate interest of running the channel. We rely on nothing else.
How long we keep it
- Chat: the last 300 messages.
- Prompts and clips: as long as the clip is in the library. A clip nobody watches for a year can be removed.
- Names and likes: until you ask us to delete them.
- Backups: overwritten as the library changes.
- The blockchain: permanently, as described above.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to receive a copy, or to object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] from, or mentioning, the wallet it concerns. We cannot delete what is on the blockchain. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
Age
slopTV is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it.
